Realm Komiks Prequel: New Worlds Chapter 11: Poisonous Dart

Chapter 11:
POISONOUS DART

An empty space vividly opens ten feet above the thick jungle foliage, spiraling over the muddy ground. Queen Sultana briskly enters through the darkness, leaping into the hidden mud as it splashes on her leather boots. She smacks the bracelet against her hand, closing the opening behind her, wiping some of the mud off her sleek, satin black pants. She scoffs at the sludge smoothed across her long fingertips and tries to wipe it off on the dark tree bark.

“Disgusting planet, Surraja” she complains from under her breath.

She tromps forward, stepping down on the humongous leaves that grab at her knees, giving annoyed sighs through her pursed lips. Then faintly, she hears the foliage crisping around her, as she pauses between movements. She takes longer strides listening to the faint slithering noise hidden among the foliage, skidding against the wet sludge beneath her feet. Leaves twitch as their stems are being cramped down by the weight of an invisible creature.

“Bloody hell.” Queen Sultana murmurs observing the movement under the long tropical leaves.

As the leaves fling to their perching stage the air falls back to silence. The stems stand unbothered.

“Nothing like the hunter to be hunted.” She scoffs and slowly moves her boot forward in the mud starring at the ground below her. As she does the foliage twitches below.  “As suspected.”

She stands still, her senses heightened, and sniffs into the air for a brief a moment, as a wolf catching the wind. She studies a limb above the tree and leaps for it, pulling her body from the ground, and as she goes to free herself from easy prey an enormous centipede flings from the foliage coiling itself around her legs, hissing loudly through its large suction mouth, lined with razor blade teeth. Sultana reaches for its' body but thrown off balance with her last dangling hand and collapse into the muddy leaves. The creature quickly wraps itself around her body trying to contain Sultana’s flinging arms, clasping at it with her nails trying to wiggle her legs and mid-section free. The centipede extends its body and as it hisses it strikes toward Sultana’s throat. She quickly clasp the creature’s neck with the palm of her hands pulling its body toward her and biting into its salmon flesh. It screeches to the sky, oozing thick yellow goo as Sultana quickly pushes out of its coils, her mouth covered with the substance she extracted from the creature. As it gains control of itself it rapidly slithers with its large shelled legs toward her. Sultana raises her hands releasing her force against the creature flinging it into a tree. It hits with a massive thud exposing the mid-section of its body. The vampiress then grabs its head, its antennas flailing as she wraps it around the trunk of the tree. She uses all her strength as she tugs against it; the creature screeches in agony as the tree’s bark presses into its skin. Sultana grabs it from under its claws crushing the head against the bark.  Its thick shelled legs claw at the air as the creature roars in agony, chomping its sharp teeth against one another as it struggles for release.  She finally feels the skeleton in her arms crunch and the centipede falls limp against the tree. Sultana drops the lifeless body and watches as it slumps against the ground. She wipes the left over slime from her mouth with disgust pulling her muddy clothes together.
“I hate this planet.” She murmurs walking forward. “Poisonous Dart!” she calls. “Poisonous Dart! Where are you?”

She stands still for a moment listening to the echoes of heavy steps crunching against the land and flings her body around to facing about six reptilian men. Their faces are a dark gray with noses that beak like a crocodile monitor. They wear dark, rustic scarlet armor over their chest, black mesh shorts straggle from their broad haunch and their lengthy clawed fingers clutch wooden spears covered with a thick black metal point at both ends. Only one fancies a long draped charcoaled cape and oval shield etched with random artwork.

“Take me to Poisonous Dart.” Sultana demands of them, angrily pushing past the lizards but comes to a halt when they surround her in the middle.

“I am Singae, if you remember. Poisonous Dart will see you...” He stands in her path slithering his tongue. “You should remain in the middle for your protection. Follow us.”

Sultana becomes annoyed, “Spare me the insults. I don’t need your protection.” She pushes through the remaining lizards to the front. “Well. Which way?” She dictates.

Singae and the other lizards glare at her with their beady eyes, with his black cape draped under his armor, he comes to Sultana’s side. “This way your majesty.”

Sultana trots through the thickness ripping through vines, mumbling her voices of displeasure as she tromps through the mud of the jungle. Singae pauses for a moment, slightly pushing into Sultana’s waist halting her before she takes another step. Sultana swipes his scaled arm and sharp black claws away from her as she stands motionless, dancing her eyes through the trees that appear empty. The other five monitors are silent as they fall into formation around Sultana, staring into an air that holds only random insect noises.

“Oh, bloody, hell,” Sultana rolls her eyes, “What is it now?”

The caped lizard scowls at Sultana for a moment then turns his attention back into the forest. “I know you’re out there!” he calls through his throat.

Suddenly eyes become visible through the tree as the green in the trees becomes darker, revealing reptilian bodies. One, two, then three and soon Sultana begins to lose count of the naked army revealing their camouflaged bodies, picking up their own weapons through the grassy area and arming themselves as they prepare to attack the crew.

“How did Lord Krait know I had arrived?” Queen Sultana grits her teeth.

“Same way Queen Poisonous Dart has.” Singae muffles, “ His power has grown since you have last visited.”

Hundreds of naked oversized, two legged lizards come running and leaping down the hill toward the pack. Their two legs carry them gracefully among the leaves, rolling like they are pedaling bicycles among the wind, their spears pointed in direction of the sparse monitor brigade. When the chameleon lizards are about twenty feet away the monitors charge turning their spears into bo staff, the lizards begin smacking them against one another. Sultana flings their bodies, smacking them against the thick trees. One chameleon whaps its tale knocking a monitor off balance and stabbing the spear through its chest. The monitor’s snout screams into the air before its body goes limp, returning the conquering lizard back into battle. Sultana leaps among it, biting its neck and tearing its head away from its body, losing it to the dense foliage.

“There are too many!” Singae announces, in his husky voice, calling to Sultana, who is only feet away fighting.

Sultana grabs the tail of the chameleon, as it is trying to throw its' stick into a Validant Monitor, the tail becoming detached from the keen lizard; it smirks in victory continuing to move forward for the kill. Sultana sighs at the deserted tail, draping over her arms, then rapidly targets the lizard, smacking it and knocking it to the ground. The Validant swiftly runs its spear through the chameleon’s chest giving Sultana and appreciative nod.

“I’m dying here.” Sultana admits and then demanding under the same breathe, “Don’t give up fighting.” She commands at Singae, as another chameleon flings itself at the talking duo. He clinks his spear against the chameleon as another jumps on Sultana, knocking her to the ground. She kicks it with her legs when it tries to pounce on her, flinging the lizard into the mud; Using her invisible force against another itquickly smacks into a tree, yet remains unfazed. Sultana turns her body to another lizard as it is leaping toward her, while the Chameleon against the tree, slyly removes the black metal tip from the spear, throwing it aside, grimacing at Sultana with the wooden steak clutched in its claws. He rises and thrust toward Sultana’s chest at high speed. She quickly turns to witness the steak inches from her heart, not quick enough to stop the penetration herself.

Suddenly, from above, a body flings from a nearby tree, knocking the chameleon to the ground. Sultana blinks at the close call and takes a deep breath as she watches the woman grab the lizard’s neck with her fingers, it’s body convulsing as the woman injects it with poison from her tips. She stands smirking at Sultana; Her sleek black boots hug her calves, finding refuge at her knees.

“Glad you chose to grace me with your presence.” Sultana mocks.

“Like wise.” Poisonous Dart sneers, giving a high kick to a lizard in the face, then turning back to Sultana.

She gives a nod at the caped monitor and he bellows out a deep call. Millions of scarlet, armored soldiers peek through the top of the trees. The chameleons run in chaos toward them, being easily slayed as their worn down scaled bodies are week against the new, adrenaline pumping, monitors. The Validant charge at them, equipped with shields and double headed spears. Poisonous Dart continues kicking and grabbing with her deadly fingertips, injecting deadly poison in her victims, leaving them limp and lifeless. She leaps over one dead body to conquer another as Sultana continues popping off the creature’s heads and breaking their wiry necks. The few living chameleons flee to the thick jungle, disappearing as their color quickly transforms among the dark green leaves and rusty bark.

Poison Dart flings her jet black hair away from her hallow, ebony eyes, trending painted, red, streaks etched under her eyes. She gazes toward Sultana, straightening her body and slightly titling her head. Her ruby lips part as she subtlety suggest. “Shall we go somewhere that reeks less of carcass?”

*****

Susan sits on her aunt’s pastel couch fumbling through the lap top. Her Aunt hovers over her shoulder; her faded red locks floating above her shoulders, her bangs falling over her forehead outlining her eyebrows that widened her hazelnut eyes. She is the youngest of the three sisters, her fine lines less prominent in showing her true age. She points her finger at the screen, “What’s this?” she asks, of some short hand writing, scribbled in the corner of the document.

“Not sure. Let me zoom in.” Susan suggests pulling it in view. “I can’t read it, only the question mark after it. You try.” She pushes the computer screen toward Donna who reaches for her reading glasses from the end table and pulls the computer close to her eyes.

It says, “’False-memory syndrome?  ‘It’s one of the diagnoses they gave my mother, later adding sleep paralysis and hallucinations. All the diagnosis appear to make sense. My mom was sleep deprived and grieving. It’s as if she was trying to find reason to escape all of the reality of my father’s passing.” Susan watches as her aunt’s eyes seem to lose focus and cloud as she remembers the fragility of her mother. Donna sets the computer down, “I’m not sure what we are going to find in here.” She shakes her head resting her palms on her forehead as her strawberry bangs flop over her fingertips. “There is no information here that I haven’t seen before.” She peers up toward Susan through the palm of her hands, “I hate to admit it, but your mom might have been right.” Her hand presses against her forehead rubbing hard against her temples and she fixes her body and sits up. Susan watches her aunt struggle and she feels helpless with a loss of comforting words.

“I know we’ve talked about it before, Susan. Joan, your mother, wasn’t always so callas. There was a point in her life she was genuinely happy. She would sing and dance around a room with Patsy and I. She was always a mother figure, especially when mom wasn’t around… but it wasn’t until she was eighteen or so that she began to slowly drifting away from us. Then everything with dad and then mom and then losing your dad…” Donna pauses, “I’m sorry she wasn’t the ‘mother’ to you that she was to us. The three of us grew up with a wonderful mother and she took pride in that at one time protecting and shielding us and I just can’t believe…” her aunt’s eyes begin to swell and a tear drops as she quickly wipes it before it can touch her cheek.

Susan takes her aunt’s soft hand and rubs it gently, “It’s okay. I’ve made peace with it long ago.”

“Oh, how could you?” Her aunt challenges. “No one makes peace with an unloving mother.” She stands up giving Susan’s knee a gentle tap and heads towards the kitchen. “I’m getting us some wine.”

Susan watches her aunt walk into the kitchen and continues to read through the information before her. “I didn’t get to any of the documents that explained more in detail to what she had actually told the doctors.”

Donna enters with a rose wine and stemless glasses, placing them on the coffee table. She unscrews the cheap bottle and pours. “Let’s see.” Donna scans her mind as she tries to remember the details of her mother’s stories. She hands Susan a glass of wine and then takes a sip of hers before falling into the pillow on the couch. She leans her head backward on the pillow for a moment with her eyes closed and takes a deep breath. Donna then sits up and opens her eyes while taking another drink; Susan patiently awaits her Aunt to gain composure.

“My mom told me she didn’t know my grandfather was an alien, until shortly before they were going to be married. Two or three days before I think.” Donna begins taking another sip of her wine.

Susan sets the laptop on the coffee table pulling her mobile device free. She wraps her arms around her legs letting her head lean against the cushion, giving her aunt her undivided attention.

Donna lets her head fall back to the pillow, as if she was entering a therapy session, resting her wine against her pelvic bone. “Dad didn’t want to keep any secrets from her. Those two were really in love. They had a respect and kindness toward one another like I’ve never seen.”

Susan gives a faint smile watching her aunt reminiscing her parent’s reunion.

“My dad didn’t just bring her flowers; he would plant her gardens of all her favorites.  On her birthday we girls were summoned to help serve her breakfast in bed.” Her aunt gives a mild laughing sigh as she remembers the thoughts, “Fresh strawberries from the garden were a requirement, also one of mother’s favorites.”

Donna pauses for a moment and sits up once again sipping from her glass. She gives a wispy smile to her niece and Susan returns her gesture. “They really were so happy.” Donna whispers from under her breath to Susan.

“I know,” Susan tries to encourage realizing she will never be able to see the dear memories that her aunt holds in her soul’s depth.

“Mom married him anyway, of course. She said she was sure that my father, had in some way, lost a part of his mind thinking his own dad was an alien, but that wasn’t going to stop her from marrying the man she was in love with. She told me, “He could tell me anything at the point, it was too late, I was in love with the man of my dreams and nothing was going to keep me from marring him.” Donna laughs, “Mother was such a spirited individual.”

Susan chuckles as she watches Donna’s face light up with the memory of her mother’s words.  Donna then continues, “She said she never met his father and that she assumed that my father’s talk of his dad being on another planet was some kind of mechanism he used as a child. Then she said she thought he continued the charade into adult hood as a facetious tale. And then one day, a spaceship landed in her backyard and it was indeed his father.”

Donna shakes her head in disbelief, “The thing is, it all sounds legit until you get to the end, doesn’t it? Then it’s like a bad joke.”

Susan admits, “It does. Odd that it sounds so logical and then fades into an E.T. movie.”

“Exactly.” Donna nods. “Why have we never had this conversation before?”

“I was never to speak or know of these things. I was scolded for asking anything to anyone…” Susan mocks and then playfully adds, “Except you of course.”

“I wish we had talked more about it in the past. It feels so wonderful to chat with someone willing to listen and be opened minded. I always just had the ‘what If’ in my head; so unlike Joan and Patsy.” Donna sighs.

“Grandpa never mentioned these things? Grandma never mentioned them when he was alive?” Susan ponders.

“No. No, not to my acknowledgement. But it was also like ‘I don’t give a crap, now’ attitude after my father passed away. She would reminisce and tell of these stories, but what I saw in her was she acted like she was trying to announce to the world who my father really was. She was proud and now that he was gone she could tell everyone because it didn’t matter anymore to keep such a secret. Of course, your mom and Patsy didn’t feel that way, but it was enough passion in her to keep my curiosity of that ‘what IF’. Now all that Planeteers stuff… no one can deny that my mother could have been telling the truth. What I wouldn’t do to get a hold of one of those Planeteers and drill them with questions.” Donna sips from her glass finishing down the sweet liquid and pouring herself another glass. “More?” she ask pointing the bottle toward Susan.

“Still full.” Susan lifts her glass for her aunt’s view.

“Well drink up.” She insist.

Susan smiles taking another drink. “Drinking.” She shows her. Susan has never been a big drinker nor a fan of sweet wine but she knew her whimsical aunt would have reservations about drinking ‘alone.’

“Did she ever mention what planet her father-in-law was from? Did she ever mention a mother-in-law?” Susan wonders.

“She never mentioned a mother-in-law.” Donna thinks. “Never thought about that before. Weird. She has mentioned a planet but I don’t remember what she said the planet was called.”

“Hmm…” Susan thinks allowed. “I wonder if it would be in any of her sessions’ paperwork.”

“Possibility is high, I would think. She actually said the day after her father-in-law landed… said his name, but I don’t remember that either, it was something weird; she said her and my father traveled to his planet. Then she proceeded to describe the planet. Then she claimed after my father’s death she revisited the planet, which she did disappear for about four days. This sent your mom and Patsy over edge, your mom mostly, and that is when they admitted her to the home.” Donna’s eyes search for the memories in chronological order.

“And you?” Susan ask softly.

“Me?” Donna laughs. “I’m the youngest sister! My weight pulled little in the battle between those two… though I wish I fought harder now...  because I believe ultimately my mom died of a broken heart. Wherever her mysterious weekend getaway took her, she came back revived and anew with passion in her voice again. My sister’s crumbled her heart all over again sending her there and I just watched it all happen.” Donna’s voice becomes solemn as it fades in the silence of the room.

“But you were there for her. You listened when she needed to talk. You believed in her when no one else would; and you still do. I wouldn’t be here now having this conversation with you if you didn’t.” Susan tries desperately to lift her aunt’s grieving heart.

Donna tries to force a smile to her supportive niece but mostly fails at the attempt. “I try to be positive Susan. How do we prove my mother wasn’t all these things the doctors diagnosed? Does it matter now if we were able to prove it?”

“It does matter. I am here because I also want to know my grandmother’s story. If her and my grandfather are as amazing as you say they were, they deserve the opportunity to have their stories heard. Oh, how Janet would have a field day with the thought.” Susan chuckles at imagining her wide eyed daughter boasting her heritage trickled down from somewhere in outer space.

“So what do we do next? Get back into Joan’s house?” Donna ask sipping down another glass of wine.

Susan sighs at the thought of going back into her mother’s house and cringes. “I’m not fond of the idea but I don’t know any other way. I would have to imagine the home she was sent to would have originals... but I don’t know how to obtain them.”

“They should have to release them to me if they were to have them? I assume since Joan had all the paperwork, it was indeed all the paperwork and records of mom. I didn't think of her obtaining copies.” Donna tries to reason.

Susan thinks out loud, “But wouldn’t they have to keep some for their own records?”

Donna gives a doubtful moan, “It was so many years ago. I am sure they are not obligated to keep files dating back so far.”

“Well, there is only one way to find out. If they don’t have anything then I’ll sneak back into mom’s house, but I would like to use it as a last resort.” Susan confirms.

“If we have to go back to your mom’s, I will make it a we and not a you. Let’s do this together.” Donna decides standing up from the couch and catching herself for a moment.  “And you’re going to drive. Let’s go.”

*****

Russet walls fortressed the underground cave that holds tunnels dimly lit with scorching torches hung on the wall. Poisonous Dart falls into her magnetite throne, tapping her dark fingernails against its arm. Scarlet spotted feathers protrude through her sleek onyx gloves, delicately hovering over her knuckles. “Sit, Queen Sultana.” She demands as Sultana scans the catacombs, admiring a thick, triangle cerulean jewel that hovers over a hanging kettle of murky water.

“I prefer to stand.” Sultana announces. She turns her head over her shoulder slightly, “You still live so… primitive." She mocks placing a fingertip on the cerulean treasure admiring it.

Singae watches Sultana suspiciously and turns toward Dart for approval of Sultana’s boldness. Poisonous Dart slightly raises her hand giving him the approval he seeks.

The vampiress grimaces as she stares back to the triangle's translucent shape. Dart rises from her throne, her boots snapping against the rock as she approaches Sultana. She peers toward Sultana for a moment and then pokes her finger into the water tracing it in circles. Sultana watches intently as imagery of the forest appears. Her men stand above the ground in mild chit chat. “Why does one need technology when they own magic?” Poisonous Dart boast.

“A comfortable bed?” Sultana sneers.

“And what would you know of a comfortable bed? You have no use.” Dart reminds her.

“I have plenty of use.” Sultana smirks staring up at Dart. “Don’t be simple minded. To what lengths are you able to use this stone?”

Poisonous Dart eyes her, “Depends on the recipe of magic. What use have you of it?”

“I didn’t arrive depending on its use but I see the value in it. I want to know if I can spy other planets from this trove.” Queen Sultana inquires staring into the vision.

Poisonous Dart smacks her hand against the water splashing the visual away and bringing Sultana’s amber eyes to hers. “Why are you here Sultana?” Poisonous Dart ask slightly miffed, “Get to the point.”

Sultana hesitates for a moment and then turns her back toward Poisonous Dart as she rubs her fingers against the hieroglyphics etched in walls.  “I’ve taken business with planet Earth and I need your assistance.” Sultana announces.

Dart scoffs as she finds refuge to her enormous throne, “Earth? It’s in another galaxy. Another realm way. Why would you travel to such lengths for that diseased enriched planet?” A Varanidae reptile enters from a connected tunnel with over sized insects lingering on a marbled platter; it sits the delicacy at the edge of Dart’s throne and then hastily exits. Dart’s petite body leaves open space between the magnetite arms. She slouches toward the arm of the chair extending her torso toward the plate and grabbing her snack, pinching the abdomen and suckling the guts through her mouth, removing the juicy fluids, and placing the skeleton back on the plate. “Need anything?” Dart entertains.

“Apologies your planet has nothing appealing to my appetite.” Sultana confirms with disgust.

Dart smirks loading another creature to her mouth and suckling delightfully while eyeing Sultana.  “Not much different than your daily meals.” Dart grunts.

Sultana protest Dart’s snooty comment, “It is very different,” Sultana turns toward Dart and approaches her boldly trying to make her focus, “If you can believe this, dear Poisonous Dart, the Earthlings have created an alliance with the light planets in our realm. We happened to not be invited.”

“Of course you were intrusive.” Dart decides. “A representation for the likes of us all.”

“Precisely.  ...” Sultana confirms. “The Ceniathiancs entertain the idea that they will be able to mesh in this deal everyone is striking… I think they could be persuaded to see things my way.”

“Why do you care what the other planets do with Earth? You say I am primitive, yet their knowledge and research is long in our past.” Dart relaxes in the depths of her seat, crossing her legs that our snuggled in black fishnet stockings.

“The planet is of much value,” Sultana thinks allowed, “Earth is rich in one particular thing that my planet finds very worthy.”

“Continue.” Dart plainly commands.

“Human blood.” Sultana smirks.

“You already consume human blood from that planet. There is no change in that.” Poisonous Dart notes staring at her nails and once again shifting her body so that it is now dangling over the throne; using it as if it were a partial bed. “You bore me, Vamp.”

Sultana ignores her rudeness and continues her thoughts, “For centuries we have born and survived from Earth’s planet resources. Some trusting vampires left humans clues of our defeat... and the more the barbarians retaliated against us... we have had no choice but force into hiding when among Earth. My father, Vlad Dracul discovered Divobite` so we could thrive freely among one another.” Her fist clench as she continues her thought, “He died at the hands of those damned mortals. The humans of light and goodness choosing our demise and trying to extinct our kind; monks and churches erasing our existent and power after hunting my father and killing him." She pauses as she strolls toward the hot flames scorching through a pit, surrounded by overlapping rocks that circumference it. It rises from the side of Dart’s throne and her eyebrows mildly shift as Sultana pauses among the fire. “There are some mortals that yearn to become what we are. Their hearts of ebony cloud their scant minds and leave them vulnerable to creatures likes us. The planet has much potential for complete darkness, only need to…,” she hesitates and then continues through her trance across the flames, “extinguish the light.” Her clenched teeth illuminate the glow of the flames as it dances off her face.  “Humans are considered my delicacy.” She smirks, gazing towards Dart’s carcasses plate, continuing. “Many I will be able to recruit. They can be complicated creatures wanting things in return, like eternity itself; however, if I took over the planet, made their multi ruled planet only under my ruling, then my vampire army and I will be in riches. We keep the dark, pursued the gray and kill the light. I tend to clean up the planet, Dart…”

“Lots of you. I don’t hear anything appealing for me.” Dart dryly announces siting up from her throne. “Good luck with your war.”

“My vampire army, as much as we dislike your planet, will help you gain the other half from your brother; giving you complete control of your planet. Your army may not be able to defeat him alone, but with us you will conquer.” Sultana proposes.

“That is an attractive offer.” Poisonous Dart admits chewing on the thought. “However, you have seen us in battle today. We are becoming stronger. I am cloning hundreds of soldiers a day. It is only a matter of time before he meets his demise. “

“All of his soldiers, I am sure he has the same ideas as you. Why not place an end to this sibling rivalry once and for all.” The queen approaches Dart and stands at the end of her throne with her arms on her hips, determine to persuade the amphibian in her direction.

“To be done with him once and for all would be complete victory.” Dart thinks aloud staring up at the vampiress.

“Yes, finally you will have no one to challenge your authority.” Sultana entices the offer.

Poisonous Dart stands from her throne, “How could we be of service on Earth with our spears and shields? Their choice of weaponry would demolish one of my armies in minutes.”

“You have something that will catch Earthlings off guard. Reptilian Soldiers.” Sultana suggests.
“The Earthlings will not be prepared for such a thing.  Perhaps, you can even persuade some of their own, home reptilian to join?”

Dart grimaces with the thought, “Yes, I could bring them to legs. They will be slow and clumsy but useful for taking first blows.”

“They will be ideal, to bring the earthling soldiers to their knees, and we will lose less of our stronger soldiers.” Sultana agrees.

Dart grins wickedly as she paces and continues the plan, “Yes. Yes, indeed. I knew there was a reason I kept you on my side, Queen Sultana.” And then as if an afterthought, “There will be some things I will want to bring home with me.”

“What do you want from Earth?” Sultana becomes confused.

Poisonous Dart approaches her murky liquid kettle staring at the stone above it. She grins in thought, “A few things I need to inquire from some labs on Earth. Nothing of importance to you.”

The vampiress becomes suspicious and corners Dart against the kettle as flames burn against its depth. “What do you know about science labs on Earth? I thought you had no interest in the planet.”

Dart’s lips tighten as her cheeks swell and her eyes squint with pleasure, “Turns out I do. Nothing you need to worry about it, friend. I will gather my resources and be prepared for when we are needed.”

Queen Sultana eyes the amphibian with uncertainty. “How will you know when you are needed?”

Poison Darts twirls the hot liquid through her fingers revealing the Queen’s planet through the reflection. Sultana hastily whips her head towards the woman, sullen, “What game are you playing Dart?” she demands spitting her words through her sharp teeth.

“Yours.” Poisonous Dart scowls innocently.

Sultana locks eyes with the hallow amphibian staring back toward her. Her eyebrows burrow in her head and she searches for expose` in Darts brain, but can receive nothing. Dart grimaces at the vampire, knowing quite well she is seeking revelation and only finding emptiness. Sultana huffs as she swings her body toward the entrance of the catacombs and pauses taking a deep breath, holding and then releasing. She faces Dart once again who remains calmly awaiting Queen Sultana’s frustration to subside.

“We will meet again soon.” Sultana pouts.

“I’ll be ready.” Poison Dart simply confirms. “Singae lead her toward the gate way.” Dart barks, “Appears I have one right here, Queen. No reason for to trace through a jungle unnecessary.”

Queen Sultana nods her head, “Until next time Dart.” She follows Singae into the tunnel. Poison Dart wraps her arms around her torso sneering proudly to herself.

Realm Komiks Prequel: New Worlds Chapter 10: Soul Mates

Chapter 10
Soul Mates

The two suns brightly shine bringing dawn over the luscious emerald field. It is sprinkled with small lilac flowers dancing in the breeze against the long blades of grass.

Margret takes a deep breath as the fresh air tickles her long locks against her neck. She lowers herself to her knees and places her palms on them, gazing through the field at a gallant, black steed, trotting from the full forest trees and into to the open field. He stops and stares at her nodding his head to the ground, his eyes peering upward toward Margret. His silver horn rises towards the white puffy clouds catching the light at the point and reflecting onto a crystal pond across the field. His enormous wings are feathered as graceful as an eagle but colored as a raven, matching the creatures dark skin on his four legged body.

Margret holds still, worried she will startle him, and he might gallop away before she is able to memorize the magnitude of the beauty. She slowly begins to rise from the lengthy grass limbs but halts when she notices a light grey unipeg following through the dense trees. The creature nudges through the grass with her nose, grasping the fine lavender colored flowers, intertwining them with her tongue and tugging with her teeth, allowing her to free them from their limbs so she can chomp the crunchy morsels. The grey female is speckled with white dots at the rear and her horn shimmers through the rays bringing light to her white angel like wings spawning from her back. Margret holds steady staring in awe as more unipegs continue to appear through the trees. Three and then four with two small unipeg colts frolicking through the blades of grass, one sidetracked by what appears to be a butterfly, but the wings are wider and bigger, a hot pink but brighter, a color Margret has never seen before. Each unipeg, with its own markings and its own color of wings, showcasing their personalities among one another. The raven stallion, appearing to be leader of the herd, Margret felt oddly connected to the creature, as his eyes appeared to shift toward her waywardly. Margret can’t contain the grin draped from ear to ear, her eyes widened with a childlike wonder.

“They are quite magnificent.” A voice from behind Margret graciously speaks.

Margret startled, almost topples over in the grass, her long cream and golden dress caught under her tiny feet that are wrapped in gold ballet slippers. Zulima leans down catching her and Margret quickly turns back to the unipegs, who continue their daily regiment unfazed by her clumsiness.

Zulima smiles at her pulling her to her feet, “It’s okay. You will not startle them. They do not fear us. They have never had any reason to.”

Margret is vacant for a moment of the realization. She then lights up as a child’s face would on Christmas morning. “I can touch one then?”

Zulima sweetly chuckles. “Yes, dear, but please join me first.” She continues to hold Margret’s hand while she leads her to the other side of the white blossoming tree, its bark a subtle hint of apricot, shading a stoned bench, replica to the one Margret had used the night before while on the balcony, its gold specks among the sun light softly shimmer. She anxiously sits next to her mentor awaiting her inquiries.

“How are you feeling, dear? Are you okay?” Zulima first ask.

This is the second time she has been asked since arriving to this planet, yet in the last ten years of her life she couldn’t recall anyone ever asking sincerely. As kind and gentle as Zulima is, and as much as she has Margret’s well being at hand, she has never asked Margret if she has been okay with any of this. Zulima always seems to have expectations of Margret.  Margret was to simply ‘light any storm’ and continue moving forward, so that is what she did.

“I’m not really sure. Okay, I guess. Lots of questions.” Margret admits and then adds, “I always have lots of questions for you though.” She smirks.

Zulima nods with a smile but it washes away as her serious voice returns, “Let’s begin with Dark Leake and your escape. Since you have come to this planet have you any revelation of Dark Leake’s intentions?”

Margret shakes her head, “No. Should I?”

Zulima pauses for a moment and Margret stares at her tight lips as they gather her thoughts for words. Zulima begins, “Your strongest ability should be your intuition. I was sure once your body was rejuvenated with its foundations you would be able to see much. As if you opened your eyes for the first time.” She pauses for a moment then concludes with disappointment, “Perhaps it will take longer than I had thought.”

As Zulima ponders on this Margret can’t help to blurt out, “Intuition like Colm’s? Reading people’s mind and memories? Or intuition like I was familiar with, in the beginning, but was told I wasn’t to my full ability?”

Zulima raises an eyebrow at Margret, “Colm is a healer, like me. You have witnessed this.”

Margret contradicts, “I have also witnessed him reading my thoughts and feelings for that matter. So I guess he does both. Did you not know this?”

Zulima is entertained with Margret’s theory and simply smiles. She wraps both of her hands over Margret’s and hold them tightly while gently explaining, “Colm is your soul mate. This is why he is able to see and feel those things. His soul is only intertwined with yours; therefor he is only able to do that with you.” She gently instructs as if she is reading a manual. She then asks, “Are you not able to do the same?”

Margret becomes aggravated with her answer. With a pout a she sputters, “No.”

“My dear, this is not good. If your intuition is not even lightened within your own soul mate. we are much further behind than I anticipated. Have you and Colm consummated the relationship?” She asks as if it were an everyday question.

Margret gasps, “No! Of course not. I just met him. I barely know him.”

“You are soul mates.” Zulima says very matter of fact as if Margret has no reason to have any doubt.

Margret suddenly feels like the rational of the two sitting under the tree. Zulima is wise but her knowledge on relationships appears to be off. “On Earth, there is no such thing as a soul mate.” Margret begins to try to explain to Zulima, “Sure, some believe, ya da dawhatever... But, the truth is, it doesn’t exist.” Margret’s thoughts carry her mouth mindlessly as she continues blabbing, “Every relationship is going to have issues. Everyone has problems. Marriage ends in divorce, usually, and though I like to be married… maybe… one day, we have to be realistic.” Margret continues her ramble trying to make sense of it all to herself, “I barely know Colm. I have no idea if we would work out. Yes, he is amazingly attractive and…” she pauses, noticing Zulima staring at her pathetically, yet patiently, waiting for her to finish. Hesitantly, Margret decides to continue her thought process out loud, “I just think you perhaps don’t understand relationships, uh… on Earth, very well… and uh… well, I don’t know if Colm is going to end up being the one for me. I mean I might like to find this out, perhaps… but …uh…” Margret stammers taking a deep breath, “I just don’t know if we will work out on a forever basis… ‘Soul Mate’ sounds like a forever basis and I’m not comfortable with that word.” Margret trails off but tries to sound confident in her explanation.

“This is bothersome.” Zulima admits matter of fact.

Margret is taken back by her direct words of disappointment, her lip falling against her chin at Zulima's response. “I don’t understand why. Let me try to explain it this way…” Margret begins.

Zulima stands to her feet and her thumb hits her chin as she stares toward the grassy fields pondering.

Margret sees her dismay. “This is nothing to worry about Zulima. Maybe we should focus on something else. Would you like to talk about your trip to D.C.?”

Zulima turns, “My child, if you feel this way toward Colm, you are not near far enough in your spiritual journey as I anticipated.”

“I have only been here for a night…” Margret softly reminds her.

Zulima sits back on the bench. “Colm is your soul mate. Take pride in this knowledge and embrace it.”

Margret tries to find words.

“Stop doubting. Doubting brings much darkness. You need to embrace.” Zulima commands.

“Is this why you had Colm sent to me?” Margret nervously inquires.

“His Forbearer, Rosalba, had a vision. She came to Father and Mother.” Zulima admitted.

Margret gasp, “His mom? Oh geeze,” she drops her head into her hand, “Why do I feel I am in some kind of prearranged marriage proposal right now? This whole thing makes me really uncomfortable, Zulima.”

Zulima grasp Margret shoulders sitting her straight. “You need to forget being uncomfortable. All the past that you have had with those Earth men, you need set aside and look what is starring you in the face. This journey goes beyond the depths of your relationship with Colm. The sooner you accept these fates the more rapid your path can move forward. ”

Margret feels angry at Zulima realizing she knew of Colm’s intentions. One minute Zulima wants to know how she is feeling through this process, and when Margret discloses the emotions, Zulima then tells her she needs to ignore them. It is as if Zulima only asked the question as a Cepaen custom practically. At that moment Margret has never found optimism more annoying. She was also yet thankful at the same time that Zulima was not able to read her thoughts. Margret wanted to walk away from the bench and go back to her room to sulk but she knew Zulima wouldn’t allow her to do so. She would then only get a pep talk like one that would come from a coach before a big game. She decides instead to probe for more knowledge of her situation.

“Colm’s mother asked how I was doing. Did she already know? And can she feel my emotions like Colm can?” the idea flushed Margret’s cheeks.

Zulima clarified, “Rosalba is intuitive, like you. However, she is not your soulmate, so no; she is not able to read you in depth like Colm. She can’t feel what you are feeling or know your thoughts nor see your memories. Your soul intertwined with Colm’s is different.”

Margret is frazzled from the information, “So when you feel it with your soul…” she begins but Zulima hastily, yet melancholy, cuts her off.

“I have never felt it.” Zulima admits with acceptance.

Margret is shocked by the revelation but remembers she has never heard of Zulima talk of a significant other nor seen one. Margret becomes confused, “But doesn’t all of your kind have one? A soul mate? Why haven’t you found your soul mate?”

Zulima’s body becomes awkward as she tries to remain having a strong and reassuring composure. “I’ve not met him or her. Rarely does it happen that one on our planet does not cross paths with their soul mate. It perhaps is not my mission in life to be reconnected with mine. Regardless, if it is not here on Cepae, then we will meet again when we depart from the physical body.”

“You mean not find him or her until you die?” Margret directly asks.

“Precisely. I realize that is a possibility.” Zulima admits strongly but the hurt in her eyes is evident.

Margret looks down, “That is really sad. I’m sorry.”

“Nothing to be sorry about or gloomy. Just appreciate what is in front of you.” Zulima reminds her with encouragement trying to put the focus back on Margret.

Margret doesn’t take the bait. She is too wrapped up in the idea of Zulima spending her life alone and it bothers her. “Can you ask someone who is intuitive to find your answers? Maybe your Father or Rosalba could find him.”

Zulima takes a long sigh, with a slight annoyed smile, realizing her protégé is not going to drop the reigns so easily. “My future in love has not yet to be seen. Perhaps, you could see if we could get you on the correct path.” Zulima provokes her.

Zulima’s red gem stone in her silver pinky finger ring glows. Zulima acknowledges it and looks at Margret, “It is my forebearers. I must answer.”

Zulima slides her finger tips across it, releasing an ultrahaptics screen, and her mother is soon hovering in the open breeze.

“Mother.” Zulima announces.

Her mother gets straight to the point. “Zulima I need you home quickly. We have much to discuss regarding the planet Earth. Please give Margret my regards.”

“Yes mother. Be there with haste.” Zulima assures sliding her finger back over the device causing the image to disappear.

Zulima turns towards Margret. “They must have updates regarding their last meeting. Before I part…” she hesitates and turns her head as her eyes catch view of a figure hovering.

Margret follows suits curious to what had caught her eye. However, it was not a what but rather a who. Colm stands shirtless, leaning against a fellow floral tree, watching the two with a grin, plastered against his chiseled face. “Please carry on.” He insists.

Margret whines to Zulima, “I can’t concentrate with him here.”

Zulima demands, “Well, you must try if you would like to ride that unipeg.”

Margret surprisingly turns to Zulima hopeful. “You mean I could…?”

“It is a common Cepaen trait to talk amongst all creatures of our world. Our spirit intertwines each of theirs. It’s a simple place for you to begin.”

“Simple?” Margret doubts.

“The black one appears to be your favorite. You should have most bond with him. Call him to you.”

Margret puts her fingers to her mouth ready to whistle and Zulima quickly stops her. “With your inner self, my dear. No noise. He will only think you’ve gone mad whistling at him like that.”

Margret jokes, “Thought people don’t go mad in your perfect world.”

Zulima grins, “Just do it now. I haven’t much time.”

Margret closes her eyes and with every ounce of her strength she wells through her mind. She tries to feel the trees in the breeze and smell the lavender flowers dancing amongst the field. With every ounce in her mind she tries to scream “Can you hear me?”  As she struggles to aim her inner voice toward the raven unipeg. She then opens her eyes to see the herd of unipegs gracefully, continuing their graze, as if nothing had happen to disturb their meal.

She looks frustrated. “I can’t do it. I don’t know how. This doesn’t make sense to me.”

Zulima shifts her eyes away from Margret, as Margret feels familiar finger tips subtly tickle her arms, sending hungry goosebumps through her body. Her eyes immediately want to fall back, and surrender to the touch, but she remains straight as she hears his voice soft and assuring toward Zulima, “May I try to help her?”

Zulima nods with delight as Margret struggles to blurt out so many witty, yielding comments toward him helping her. Nothing surfaces to her mouth and she has this unsightly feeling he is somehow partially due to holding them back. He whispers in her ear, “Sometimes, it’s best to say nothing at all.” his grin brushes his lips against her ear confirming her thoughts to be true. She wants to shout in protest at his victory but the calmness, that abruptly intrudes her body, leaves her instead, surrendering herself in his arms.

“Don’t think to the unipegs,” Colm softly suggest, “Feel with them.” He pulls her closer against him and subtly breathes her in. “You smell good.” He admits.

“I can’t do this with you doing that.” She reminds him as her cheeks flush.

“Close your eyes. Feel here.” He places his fist in the center of her breast.

“That’s not where my heart is.” She says proudly, teasing.

“No but it is where your soul is.” He takes another victory on his belt.

She opens her eyes and very softly speaks between her teeth, “It’s hard to feel anything but you poking me in the back.”

Margret could feel Colm’s face flush as he unexpectedly and nervously chuckles out loud. He turns to Zulima.  “We are working on the concentration of the center soul.”

“Is that what you call that?” Margret whispers with a jab cleverly from underneath her breath.

He squeezes her tighter with a small tease and his face becomes a tad more flushed.

Zulima nods with a warm smile, “I will make my journey home. Bring her to us Colm”

“Will do.” He smiles.

“Bye Zulima!” Margret calls finding a giggle underneath it.

Zulima beams as she heads up the mild hill back toward the palace home.

Colm wraps his arms around Margret tighter, “Now concentrate.”

She tries to turn toward him and he twirls her back around to the unipegs. “Hey” she protests.

“If you look at me I will kiss you. If I kiss you we will not be focused at task on hand.” Colm reminds her. She doesn’t resist his words for she knows they are true.

Colm moves his hands back to the center of her chest. “Close your eyes. Feel it here.”

Margret shuts her eyes trying on her feelings and central energy. If this was where her center is, it had most definitely felt to elevate above her body when she was with Colm. When he kissed her his energy felt to infuse with hers. The more he touched her the further her connection flowed through her. She flings her eyes open with ratification.

“Colm, I have an idea.” She begins to stroll forward from his grasp, slowly dropping his hands to the side and approaching the large winged creature. The raven unipeg twitches his ears and looks up toward her with his large powerful head and dark chocolate eyes. She lowers her hand steadily towards him as she steps closer and he steps back for a moment at her boldness. She stands still and drops her hand to her side. “It’s okay.” She softly encourages.

The unipeg tilts his head for a moment and slowly trots toward her submersing his head to her hand. She gently strokes his supple ears and as he leans into her, she continues rubbing his sleek, jet fur down his neck, feeling the twitching of his strong muscles. “You are the most beautiful amazing creature I have ever seen.” She tells him.

He contemplates her with his lucid eyes, as if understanding, and nuzzles his velvet muzzle against her hand. As she strokes him she begins to feel his unbridled energy flowing through her body. The light feels uplifting as its' energy pulses through her veins. She feels as if she could take off and fly amongst him; then it suddenly dawns on her and she sharply turns to Colm, “He is offering for me to ride him.”

Colm joins Margret’s side with his wide eyed grin and pats the black steed, “Well done Opal and Margret.” He tilts his head toward her slyly waiting for her to bounce one of her sarcastic cliché`s at him but she is in wonderment.

“Opal? Yes, Opal.” Margret warmly inhales the moment ignoring Colm’s attempt to arise her.

Colm observes her beauty for a moment, folding his arms to avoid grabbing for her. He steps closer attempting to intervene her attention away from the winged stallion. “His herd comes every morning to graze. My family has come up with names for all of them.” Colm smiles and then calls, “Nacreous!”

The silver spotted unipeg gracefully gallops to his side and Colm grabs hold oh her main leaping on top of her. The stunning mare rears herself, showing off her angelic wings, before allowing her hooves to find the ground.  Margret stares in admiration without words, Opal bowing toward her, allowing her to climb upon him.

Her round pale face finds Colm, searching for approval, and he proudly does so. “Go on! He is waiting!” he laughs thrilled.

Margret excitedly struggles to wrap her legs around Opal, trying to pull her dress to her knees, but manages to do so.  She scoots her rear upon his back, holding onto the crest of his mane, as he raises himself upward.

She beams at Colm proudly as he gives a low throated chuckle. “Are you ready for this My Margret?”

She lets the fact that he had just called her, 'My Margret', fall into the sky, and tries to answer without hesitation in her voice. “I think so.”

“I have faith in you My Margret!”  he nods as a knight would, and she watches Nacreous fly into the sky with Colm.

“Hope I don’t fall off,” Margret mumbles to herself as she tries to prepare for Opal’s take off. Opal turns back his head toward Margret and her body is overcome with a calming feeling. She faintly hears a whispering voice in the back of her head, ‘We are as one now. Ride me like it is you with the wings.’  As those words continue to dance through her, their bodies suddenly become weightless; with a gust of wind stroking from under Opal’s wings, she is in the sky, watching the trees losing their massive depth. She lets out a sudden burst of laughter as she hugs her body against the unipeg, enthusiastic of her new reality. When she sits up to view the new world, she sees Colm flying in front of her. His hair is caught in the wind between the unipeg’s white wings, and he throws his muscular arms into the air with laughter, appearing natural in his world.  Margret’s heart skips a couple beats, staring at his lighthearted charm, and masculine body, upon the equestrian.

Margret’s grin becomes fiercer across her face as he yells over the flapping wings, “Ready to race?” His words are muffled and almost lost in the wind but his body and lips have said it all as Nacreous begins huffing faster past them.

The charged voice in the back of her mind booms, “Remember you are the wings!” and with that her body exhilarates backward and she grasp onto Opal’s thick main tighter,  re-positioning herself with her chest tight against his neck. Her tongue grits between her teeth as her and Opal fly by Colm and Nacreous, passing them up. She turns her head and grins proudly, biting her lip, and Colm laughs encouraging Nacreous to move faster. Nacreous circles below Opal doing a 360 and Margret is giddy with laughter as Colm showcases his and Nacreous fleets. Nacreous then gains more speed doing figure eights around Opal and Margret as her head turns, watching their grace and beauty, uniformed within one another.

“Follow me!” Colm calls out delightfully and Opal passively lets Nacreous take the lead.

Margret continues to enjoy the jaunt while viewing an abundant of emerald and periwinkle trees tucked in and out of lavender pasture. Before long she witnesses the view of an elegant, mountainous waterfall. The bright cobalt water cascades down the diamond mountain, shimmering with gold dust, like the stone Margret fashions around her neck. Surrounding it, is vibrant violet trees with apricot bark. Some bright emerald shrubs blend among, with rich bark of amber, leaving the area almost hidden. Nacreous and Opal lower themselves from the sky toward an unnoticeable fielded area, staged before the entrance to the sparkling water. Colm dauntlessly, demount the unipeg and wisp himself to Margret’s side.  She can’t help but to humor him with a wide eyed grin as he wraps his hands around her small waist, gently tugging her down from Opal, and into his strapping arms. Her breath breaks for a moment, as he lowers her feet, gallantly asking, “Ready for a swim?”

“Assuming it is safe.” Margret jokes following him toward the clear royal waters.

“Of course.” He says tugging off his sandals as his eyes follow her hands, untying her small, golden flats hugging her feet.

“Is there any danger on this planet?” she wisecracks.

“Would there be need for a healer if there weren’t?” he grins jerking off his loose fitting fawn pants.

She stares at his firm, naked behind in front of her “Touché`.” She grins raising her eyebrows.

He stands staring into the waters for a moment and then turns his head back toward her, his face beaming, and then dives into the depths of the blue. “Well then.” She takes a deep breath mumbling to herself and pulls her dress over her head, letting it fall onto the blades of grass. She hesitates for a moment, when it comes to her pearly undergarments, but decides to quickly shed them before he returns from the depths. She hastily pulls them off and dives into the water. The warmth subtly turns cools as she plunges deeper into the water. She strokes upward with her hands emerging in the sun light. Her wet hair presses against her scalp as she pops open her eyes, witnessing Colm splashing around. He widely plasters his attractive grin, upon his oval face, as he swims toward her.

“Rather refreshing I’d say.” Colm lightly observes as he paddles the water closing in on her.

Her heart races as he nears. “Hi...” She awkwardly smiles as he wades in front of her, feeling the loose water partitioning their naked bodies.

“Hello.” He chuckles staring at her, slightly inching closer, but then angles his approach circling around her.

She turns her body to face him again and his gleaming grin turns serious. “You and I both here, in the water.” He states very matter of fact. “I perhaps would love to wrap my arms around you at this moment; however I would be challenged to simply embrace you.” Colm admits with a very mild and even tone. His breathe immediately falls heavy as she treads the water slightly closer to him.

“Can’t you read my mind?” she seductively teases.

“Sadly, no.” he nervously chuckles.

She finds his hands under the waters and they simultaneously bring their hands to the surface, interlocking their fingers between one another. He stares at her with his sapphire eyes, piercing through her skin, feeling the energy around them become fuller, her body now feeling lighter.

“You are so beautiful.” He stares at her. “I wonder how long you will torture me before I am to lavish you.” He manages to beg through his heavy voice.

“You can lavish me now.” She seductively suggests and before she can take another breath Colm’s lips are pressing heavy against hers. She wraps her legs around his tight abs as he places his arm around her rear carrying her from the water.

He brings her to land, her arms tightly around his neck and his around her bare behind, their tongues coiling heavy around one another. He pauses and looks at her, bearing his eyes into her soul, and then before she can react he leans in again, nibbling on her lips.  Colm lowers her to the ground slowly as her hand slides down his trail finding his genital.  Her palm wraps around his hardness grasping her fingers tightly against it and firmly she strokes. He holds a moment as it catches him off guard and then as the sensation fills his body, his eyes fall shut and a deep moan falls from his throat.

‘This is what it feels like’ Margret catches the words through the back of her mind and realizing they are Colm’s thoughts she flings her eyes open. He grins from under his teeth and subtly moans out loud, “Ignore my thoughtless commotion.” And then an echo in the back her mind follows up with, “Glad to have you here.”

She faintly grins stroking him quicker, pressing her thumb against the shaft of his penis rotating it in a circular motion.  His body begins to tense on top of her as his moans become heavier, she goes to cup his balls with her other hand, but he flings both of her arms above her head and holds them tightly. His eyes conveying hers, she softly grasps the whispering in the back of her head, “I need you now.” Colm then falls into her lips again, trailing his toward her neck, slowly further down to her breast. Her eyes shut as her body is ample with sensation, his tongue rolling around her harden nipple, she slips a delicate, whispery moan. He cups the other breast with his hand, pinching the nipple tightly between his fingers as his teeth nibble on the other. Margret’s head flies into the air as the pleasurable sensation aches her body. He then slides his tongue to her belly button gently kissing her stomach as his soft lips move closer downward, still cupping her breast and fondling her nipple with his fingers, his tongue finds her clitoris.

Margret’s neck pummels toward the sky and she releases a cry as his tongue circles around her clit and then flatly pressing against it. Her cry becomes louder and she soon finds her hands clawing at his head as he suckles on her throbbing part. Margret loses her cry with a piercing scream of pleasure as he penetrates his middle finger deep inside of her, pressing against her g-spot, her legs curl around his shoulders, bracing her body, before she flings into the air. Her nails dig in his shoulders as his finger vastly slides in out, driving against her g-spot, his tongue continuing against her clitoris. Her body tenses, her rear elevates from the land, his face trapped between her thighs, he brings her to peek, wetness exploding against his finger; her screams echo against the diamond mountains, her thighs convulsing against his head and her nails digging deeper in his flesh.

He removes his face from her tired thighs and her body falls limp for a moment. She opens her eyes anticipating his next move, him grasping his thick erect penis in his palm, his eyes deep in hers as he thrust his hard genital inside her moist genitalia. His hand cups her rear as thrust into her. He moans as he feels her moistness enclose around him and tenderly kisses her neck before giving another thrust inside of her. Her hands find refuge on his tight rear end as he finds a rhythmic motion against her pelvis. Her eyes wide open, watching this man finding pleasure against her, sliding his hardness repeatedly between her wetness, she tightness her thighs against him feeling the head of his penis thrusting against her g-spot. Their breathing is heavy against each other as his final thrust inside of her brings his genital exploding against her g-spot, bringing her orgasm again. They scream in unison as their bodies flood each other physically, mentally and emotionally, becoming weightless, their hearts fusing into one.

Colm rolls over to the side of her laying flat on his back finding his breath while grasping hold of her hand, that lies limp against the grass.  She finally turns her body towards him, laying her head on his chest, feeling the sound of his beating heart against her ear. He runs his fingers through her hair for a moment before turning his head and looking at her. ‘Her rarity is artwork’ she hears through the depths of her soul.

She grins through her teeth at him and with exhaust he smiles back. “That was…”

“Incredible.” She smiles.

“Reading my thoughts are we?” he teases kissing her on the forehead.

“Perhaps.” She boast.

“Margret Carol Merriweather, you are sensational.” He kisses her, pulling her closer into his chest. He then jokes, “However, perhaps next time we find ourselves a comfy bed.”

She gives a entertaining giggle, “I don’t disagree with that statement.”

“Which one? Because you simply are sensational.” He smirks.

She opens her mouth to speak but before she is able to she shoots up into a sitting position, spacing into the empty waters.

Colm puts the small of his hand on her back and sits up behind her. “What is it Love?”

She stares blank for another moment and Colm suddenly with worry places his arms around her shoulders and pulls her closer to him. “Love, what is it? I don’t know. Speak to me please.”

She snaps from her vision and turns slowly toward him. “Colm, I know Dark Leake’s plan.”

Realm Komiks Preque Chapter 9: Secrets

Chapter 9:
Secrets

Bruinen scans the room of the all the leaders that still linger in the city of Earth called Washington Dc. Many human Earthlings have returned back to their own Earth Countries, while still communicating with those who stay. Most Planeteers have also returned to their planets, waiting to hear final word from Father Onfre and Mother Chesna on how to proceed.  The only Planeteers to remain were Bruinen and Nawfar, Onfre and Chesna, (Zulima returned home) Chilam and Yas, Umberto and Herminia and the Ceniathiancs; which the Planeteers did not claim. The Ceniathiancs had five rulers and three had returned home. The other Planeteers suspect they did this to appear more as most the light planets do, with a Father and Mother unity of balance. They may be able to try to fool the Earthlings but the other Planeteers knew they could not be fully trusted.

The meeting was closing and three secret portals have been revealed, including the one where Atlantis had fallen. The only portal left to hand over to the Earthlings was Queen Sultana’s main transportation to Earth.

President Cromwell wraps up his final speech and then asks the last question which is going to introduce commotion against the room. “Before we depart, does anyone else have anything to bring the table?”

Umberto clears his throat and Bruinen watches as Herminia gives him her final approval. “The Planeteers do have one last gateway we are aware of. However, disclosing it may have more harm than good.”

Commotion slowly stirs the room and President Cromwell blurts out, “It has been brought to the table. Please inform us.”

Umberto swallows hard as Bruinen and the others naturally feel the grey cloud hovering over their light. “The…” he begins but then pauses, turning to the rest of the Planeteers, questioning their decision. It is no longer in their hands, it is no longer their's to question, and the wheel has already started to turn, forcing the uncertain fate in motion. They were following a destiny they had little control of.

“Please continue,” The president of the United States encourages along with a couple of other Earth Leaders.

Umberto stands to make the announcement, as though he would be able to stand above the grey that looms over him. “We do know the realm gateway in which Queen Sultana uses to enter your planet’s atmosphere…”

He has more to say but is immediately interrupted by the upscale commotion crossing the room.

“This is a revelation. We can now terminate the vampires.”  Suggest President Kurt Voigt with his thick German accent.

A Ceniathianc, their appearance is not immediate evident of their gender, curves its’ head towards the Planeteers. The other Ceniathianc follows suit and their black eyes narrow in disapproval of the Planeteers revelation.

“We can hold guards at the gateway and execute any vampire that tries to enter.” Marina Rocha agrees with her distorted English dialect.

“There is more…” Umberto tries to slice the conversation with his consequences.

“Please everyone, the Planeteer has more to say.” President Cromwell stands up trying to hush the room. As everyone quiets he sits allowing Umberto to have the floor.

“You must understand that an attack on Queen Sultana or any of her warriors would almost definitely be a beginning to a war. Human against vampire. On any planet.”

Almost…” President Rocha affirms. “Not definitely.”

Umberto hesitates at her comment but decides to continue, “Though vampires are not able to step foot on most of the Planeteers’ grounds, for the light energy force of our planet is too powerful….”

A Ceniathianc interrupts in his deep mumming voice, “Like Earth, we do not have that energy light.  Attacking the vampires will leave our planet vulnerable. We are not equipped to assist Earth and protect our planet against vampire attacks… ”

Quiet this whole time, Euguen hesitantly stands and finds his voice, “I have information that I was going to disclose privately to our world Leaders, but under the circumstances this may, perhaps, be an appropriate time.”

All eyes in the room lay heavily on him. “Queen Sultana secretly called upon me. In the visit she actively persuaded me to join forces with her.”

Bruinen gazes around the room as shock blazes the Earthlings faces. “Join her for what?” Father Onfre boldly demands.

Euguen mutters, “It isn’t relevant. I speculated my demise. Obviously I refused and yet she still left me among the living.”

“Did she intend to transform you to one of her kind?” Andre` Roux questions.

“I assume not.” Euguen answers, “However, it is evident she is conspiring.”

“Why she choose you?” President Seo-Jun Quon inquires thoughtfully.

“I do not have those answers,” Euguen shrugs, “Romania’s history? After I tried to flee, she made a threat on my life, then disappeared.”

“What do you make of this information, Planeteers?” President Cromwell intercepts.

All eyes turn toward Onfre, Chesna and the other six Planeteers. Somehow in the darkness of the Ceniathianc’s eyes there is fear. Bruinen realizes how often the Queen Sultana and her vampire clan must have ravaged the Ceniathianc’s planet as a food source. His heart twists with grievances as the imagery haunts his thoughts. Acquavado’s energy source wasn’t as strong as the Cepae planet and they have had darkness break through their barriers. Attacks have ended with many lost lives, their people kidnapped and sold as slaves to other dark planets. He sympathized with the Ceniathianc's worry.

Father Onfre shakes his head and gazes at Chesna who lowers her eyes to the ground. “With the information provided,” Father Onfre announces as all eyes are on him intuitively, “Earth must do what brings their people safety. It is the Earth leaders who must decide. That being said,” He stands to his feet as Mother Chesna follows him, “The Planeteers and I would like to return to our homes. President Cromwell, you know how to contact me. We will anxiously await word.”

“Understandable Father Onfre and Mother Chesna. I will contact you soon. Safe flights as you return home.” President Cromwell graciously excuses them.

Bruinen and Nawfar rise to their feet and follow the others. They all nod as they follow Onfre and Chesna toward the door and exit. The door shuts behind them and Onfre and Chesna immediately turn to the Planeteers behind them.

“I felt it.” Yas announces to Onfre and Chesna as they gaze at their fellow alliances.

The energy shift feels grimmer as the realization, for all the Planeteers, slowly invades their souls. “President Euguen is lying about Sultana,” Father Onfre discloses in words.

Nawfar grabs Bruinen’s hand tightly and squeezes. He wraps his fingers between hers and pulls her hand to his stomach, grasping tightly.

“He told her he’d join forces among her.” Umberto confirms.

“I’ll speak with the Earth’s US President confidentially and he will orchestrate the other countries. Earth’s population is more than any planet I’ve visited; with the entire planet’s people united the Queen Sultana should have no opportunity to follow through with her conquest.” Onfre announces confidently.

Bruinen feels at ease with the confidence in Onfre’s voice. With his energy and intuition he is most suited to predict an outcome.

“What about the Earthlings that are surrounded with darkness? They are not a planet of all light energy. What if Sultana has recruited more Earthlings for her army?” Nawfar openly voices concern with her soft whispery voice.

“Most definitely all the Romania people could not follow President Euguen’s decision in supporting her. I don’t believe his choice represents his country in an entirety.” Herminia concludes.

“It certainly does not,” Onfre agrees “However, Nawfar’s concern is legit. Earth is more than Euguen’s country. We do not know what angles Sultana is working.”

“Perhaps while you contact President Cromwell, Father Onfre, Nawfar and I can travel to Romania and find allies.” Bruinen suggest.

Onfre gazes toward Chesna and they stare at one another as though they are reaching inside each other with information, as it processes. Chesna nods to Onfre as the Planeteers anxiously await their epiphany.

“Speak to no one yet. President Euguen is a trusted individual within his government. If he is confronted of the situation he will be able to warn Queen Sultana. We first must urgently find out her plans.”

Just then the conference door swings open as the Earth’s world leaders begin to exit.  The first few that exit are in surprise that the Planeteers still linger outside the doorway.

“Planeteers,” President Marina Rocha acknowledges “To what pleasure do we owe your continued presences?”

Father Onfre reaches for her hand and she smiles warmly grasping his. Bruinen watches as her aura suddenly feels strikingly brighter. His thoughts travel as he gazes at the interaction between the species. The elder earthlings’ age much differently than the people he has met on other planets. Their skin tends to increasingly sag and shrivel for such short years, and their bodies wear quicker, causing their years of life to be brief. The life expectancy on other planets are a great deal lengthier, and their souls decide to leave their tired bodies, unless trauma is imposed. Earthlings are considered lucky to make it to one century, and when they do, their bodies slow down and cripple; So much so, that they stop living lengths of quality life. However, due to Earth souls’ many trials on this planet, they are able to express, feel, and conquer such an array of emotion, leaving their souls quickly to freedom from their tired bodies. The toxic planet is a hastened educator for inquiring souls of light. What they can be taught and experience within a year on the Planet Earth, the Planeteers’ planets may never experience in a life time. For light planets to educate themselves to understand evils, of such grandeur, takes centuries, especially for the Cepaeian people. They hold massive amounts of light energy and their people often live a few millenniums during peaceful eras.

As Bruinen's thoughts trail he is brought back to the conversation when Nawfar pushes her tiny body further against him.

“We actually have some additional news we would like to share with yourself and President Cromwell, if you wouldn’t mind? Mother Chesna and I will accompany you after everyone has departed.” Father Onfre informs the exquisite woman from Brazil.

“Most certainly,” she agrees with flattery, heavy in her voice.

It is difficult for all the Planeteers not to feel the presence of Euguen exit from the room. Unconsciously all their eyes shift upon him as he peers toward them with a forced smile and takes off down the hall toward the elevator.

*********

Euguen stumbles into the darkness of his hotel room fumbling for a light. A small lamp from across the room flicks on and Sultana slinks from behind him. She is dressed like an Earthling, with a small black skirt fitted tightly to her thighs and sultry black boots hugging her calves. Her short sleeve red sweater hugs her neck and introduces a v-line to her cleavage, allowing her voluptuous breast to almost peak. Sultana wears her dark tresses long against her back and her white streak is twisted and fastened to the side of her head. “You’re late.” She announces.

“I did not know I was on a schedule.” He ignores dropping his card key to the table and pouring himself a glass of his preferred Tuica. “I need to leave to catch my flight soon. What do you propose I do next?”

She wickedly gazes at him from across the room with a slight tilt of her head as she steals his thoughts. He quickly turns toward her feeling the intrusion. He scoffs, “Find you no humor in asking how my announcement silenced the room? Instead it suits you to pry in one’s thoughts? Little respect toward me, would you not agree?”

“I trust no one.” She boast, “If you shut me out it would be a challenge, but you open the doors wide for my prying mind.” She circles around Euguen as if she is a predator seeking prey. Placing her index finger on his shoulder, it rotates, allowing the tips to slowly climb his neck. She leans in and licks him with her thick, red tongue, inviting goose bumps to rise against his olive skin. Her tongue hides behind his ear as her fingers press against his neck’s pulsing vein. His eyes flutter as he contains to keep them open.  Quickly, his body falls to temptation and he becomes aroused to her touch. “I’m going home to speak among my people. I then have recruit on another planet I must persuade. I will revisit you soon.” She seductively chants in his ear.

She slinks toward the door and his body gravitates towards her as his eyes follow her dancing frame. She slowly turns her neck as if she mindlessly guides him and he pauses. She smirks after reading his thoughts while turning her head toward her destination of the hotel door. “Joining me on my planet would be your demise. You’d be a snack.” She sneers with pleasure of the thought while reaching out for the door handle.

He hastily moves his body toward her reaching to wrap his arms around her. She grabs them before they can conquer her and turns around facing his hungry eyes.

“When will you transform me? When do I indulge in the passions of your planet?” he begs.

“Don’t be pathetic.” She spits, “I’ll transform you when I know you are worthy of living for eternity.”

He backs away insulted by her answer. “And what is in it for me until then?”

As on cue Sultana opens the hotel door and beautiful woman stands on the other side. The woman’s hour glass body fits a sleek scarlet dress that drapes off her behind and settles shortly above her thighs. The sides hang from her toned arms allowing them to peek through and it slides down to the center of her back. She has blonde locks that are free to spiral over her shoulders and kiss her perky breast. Euguen’s mouth slightly pops open, witnessing the magnitude of her beauty.

Sultana bops his chin shut and almost sulks “Yes, she’s enchanting isn’t she?” Sultana boasts and then with a wink she pulls the woman, by her dainty waist, through the door and they embrace with their backs pressed against the panel. Sultana’s lips thrust locking hers and then they subtly part inviting a vivid view of their tongues coiling one another. Euguen’s throbbing body plunges toward them but Sultana halts him with her hand pushing against his chest as she continues her conquest. Sultana finally releases her lips from the woman though the woman is hungry for more. They both turn toward Euguen as he stands erect and immersed with his semen oozing from his gentiles, damping his dark grey cotton pants.

“Your incentive for the evening.” Sultana announces. “I introduce you to Chayse, one of my many lovers and confidants. Take care of her, Euguen.” She then turns to Chayse, “Don’t kill him. We need him.” They share grins as they eye Euguen.

Euguen finds his apple stuck in his throat at the possibility but quickly forgets he can become a snack as he witnesses Chayse intertwining her thighs between Sultanas. They again begin to passionately make out as their wondering hands fondle one another. Their scarlet lips finally part and Chayse sultry teases, “I’ll save him for later.” And then gives a wink from under her lushes, dark lashes that guard her amber eyes.

Chayse slinks towards Euguen, grabbing him by his belt buckle and pulling him deep into the dimly lit bedroom. His body mindlessly droops forward following her into the darkness.

Sultana gives them one last glance with a wicked grin and shuts the door behind her.

*****************

Susan paces back and forth as she chatters to her Aunt Donna over the small mobile device.  “Where else should I look?”

I’m thinking.” Her Aunt anxiously answers. “The years you were in that house, I would think you know better than I.”

“Mother and I think nothing alike.” Susan confirms, “I have to be out of here before she gets back.”

“Come over to my place. We can always sneak in after we made a list of places to look.” Her Aunt conjures the plan.

Susan sighs with defeat, “Okay, I’ll be on my way. Let me grab one of her extra keys.”

See ya soon!” Donna exclaims.

“Be there shortly.” Susan agrees.

Susan hastily enters the den and grabs a set of spare keys from the cherry, wooden, desk drawer. She sticks them in her pocket and scurries to the front door grabbing her suitcase and reaching for the knob. She suddenly pauses for a moment. Her eyes lose focus as a memory quickly floods to her mind, taking her back to when she was a young teen about the age of twelve.

The imagery of her mother fumbling through her deceased father’s paperwork that is sprawled out over the canopy bed becomes sharp in her mind. Susan can see her small feminine hands as she gazes down at her own, leaving the moment and falling into the doorway of her mother’s bedroom. Her mom’s long blue chiffon robe flowed from her body that was hugged by a small matching nightgown. Her usually neatly placed dark tresses were in disarray, falling to her shoulders. She was frazzled and a sudden burst of thunder, from outside, flung her head toward the large bedroom window. Window draped in floral curtains, she cursed the storm that weeks early had produced the lightning to take her husband’s life. As she raged the storm seem to rage back at her. She banged her fist against the window sill, her head fell in defeat and she had sobbed heavily. Susan’s heart twisted in pain and she found the tremble in her voice to call out, “Mother.” Her voice broke against the storm as her mother slowly turned towards her, tears drenching her rosy cheeks.

“What are you doing here?” she mumbled exasperated to Susan from under her breathe.

“I just thought…” Susan began.

Her mother’s body flung toward the mess of paper quickly gathering them off the bed. “Get out. You should knock. You know better to not disturb my room without knocking.” She gritted her teeth as the words spit out from her lips.

Susan’s heart thumped heavily against her chest pounding harder, splitting into tiny splinters every time it beat. “Mother I just…” she tried to explain that she wanted to be there for her. She wanted to know what she could do to help. She hurt so bad inside too, but her mother continued to shut her out.

“You should knock!” her mother turned toward her screaming, her eyes torched with flames and her face red with anger.

Susan backed away as her mother stuffed the papers in the night stand drawer shutting it and locking it. She then turned back to Susan, “Get out! Go to bed now!”

Her screams tore through Susan’s chest shooting the splinter fragments to her lungs and she fell to her knees to catch her breath. Her angry mom grabbed her by her arm and dragged her from the room until she was on the other side of the door and then slammed it shut behind her. Susan struggled to catch her breath while trying to stand, bracing her small teenage self against the knob.

Susan stood in the hallway remembering the moment, finding her own breath becoming heavier. She shook her head from the vivid imagery and then grinned and softly whispered, “The night stand drawer.”

Without thinking she tore up the wide staircase with her luggage in hand. She drops it at the doorway as she gains sight of the same small night stand that stands next to the canopy bed. She tugs on the tiny bronze handle with a quick jerk but it does not budge. “Locked.” She bites her lip thinking of her next move. “The jewelry box.” She suggest to herself. She opens the lid to the white box lifting up the maroon velvet organizer and widely grinning as tiny antique key glistens.

She grabs the key and runs to the nightstand placing it into its perfect fit. With a slight turn of the antique object, the tiny drawer peeks open, Susan helping it the rest of the way. She goes to grab from the drawer but pauses at the sight of only a small flashlight and reading glasses staring back at her. “What the?” she ask herself with confusion. She pauses for a moment and then stares at the open drawer sizing the depth. Susan rubs her hand against the wooden panel and continues against the sides. It subtly gravitates upward slightly as her finger scoots across. Her tongue presses against the roof of her mouth as her lips widen wickedly in victory and she instantaneously loosens the rest of the board by pushing up. There in the depths lay vanilla file folders, strategically placed upon one another.

Susan promptly pulls them out and guides them to the bed shuffling through them. “There is so much here.” She gasps to herself. “How am I…” she takes a huge anxious sigh and pulls her cell phone from her pocket. “Dad’s stuff.” She says moving it aside for the time being and opening the next folder. “Grandma’s. Is this entire file grandma’s?” She tries to fumble through the other folders but stops herself. “Just start taking pictures, Susan. Just start taking…” she instructs herself pulling her cell phone to each paper as she quickly tries to snap photos and flip them over in the same order. As she moves quickly she pauses for a moment when she hears the echo of the front door hit against the wall stopper. She realizes instantly that her mom has arrived home and quickly begins trying to proceed faster through the papers. “I’ll never get through this in time…” she begins to panic.

*****

Her mother shuts door behind her and removes her coat hanging it on the wooden coat rack that decorates the hallway entrance. She notices the sleeve has crept up itself and stops to fix it. She then travels to the dining room and fills the tea kettle with tap water from the faucet; Pausing for a moment when she hears a faint creek of the floor above her. Thoughtfully, she sets the tea kettle down and walks to the living room peering through the sheer chocolate curtain and gazing out into the street at the blue Honda rental parked against the curb. She pauses for another moment and then calls out, “Susan! Susan?”

The walls are filling with silence and she decides to make her way up the ruby, oriental rugged steps. Her feet stop at Susan’s old room and her eyes gaze through the door. It appears empty as she sticks her face deeper inside. She pauses again as she hears rustling coming from her bedroom and quickly tenses up, veering toward her new destination. She commands the doorway as she surveys her daughter figure in front of her tall, skinny, chocolate nightstand.

Susan quickly turns around. “Mother.” She addresses formally while holding up her toothbrush. “Toothpaste. I could only find some in your bathroom.”

Her mother’s eyes narrow and she murmurs, “Yes, I did not buy extra.”

“No problem. I’ll be on my way and out of your hair.” Susan grabs her suitcase and slides open the front zipper sticking her toothbrush in the luggage. She then forces a faint smile and passes her mother on her way to the door. “Until next time, Mother,” she nods.

Her mother remains silent studding her daughter’s suspicious behavior. Susan chooses to say nothing more and heads down the hallway.

Her mother observes the noise of the front door opening and swiftly makes way to her wooden jewelry box, hastily grabs the small key from its spot and lines straight for her nightstand drawer, inserting the key, unlocking and jerking the drawer toward her. While almost in a single motion, she lifts the hidden wood panel from the drawer. She gives a slight sigh of relief as her vanilla file folders stare back at her. As she is about to shut the panel a few strayed papers hanging from the second file folder catch her eye. She narrows her eyes in suspicion as she straightens them back into the folder. She feels anxious for a moment of the thought that her daughter could have been looking through her well kept secrets. She closes the drawer firmly and locks it, sliding the key safely in her pocket. Her feet slowly wisp her to the bay window, that hangs from second floor bedroom, and she stares with curiosity as her daughter climbs into the sapphire vehicle, angry with the notion that that she had been had.

****

Susan quickly climbs in her rental and starts the engine. She takes a deep breath as she looks up to focus on the road and sees lightning flashing through the clouds with a bright imperial yellow illuminating. Drops of rain slowly begin to beat down on the windshield as she pulls the car into drive. She can’t help to take a look at the house feeling her mother’s eyes bearing into her. Her figure is stiff in the bay window staring out, as crashing thunder follows another flash of lightning, giving her mother a grim appearance; in the shadows of the old Victorian home, which lingered under the grey sky.
