CHAPTER 2:
Planeteers
Bruinen gazes out the huge glass window staring at the tall buildings that touch the sky. A city such as this would never be found in his world. His world consisted of cities built under and on top of water, reaching the sky could put them in danger of sky monsters and attacks from their neighboring planet, Ddanlyr, whom constantly tries to gain control of their water planet, Acquavodo. Ddanlyr is a dry planet having little discovery of water – close to the seventh sun, much of their water has dried over the years; the planet appears to continue to get closer to the sun, or the sun to the planet? Either way, instead of trying to inhabit Acquavodo they continue to try to conquer the planet; they have little understanding on how to maneuver through the blue stuff and continue to fail, but always with precious lives lost.
Earth’s water consumption was quite impressive compared to some other planets Bruinen has experienced. He is impressed by the human’s education of their Aqua. Unlike most other planets, Earthlings have learned how to submerge into depths of the water, they have discovered many creatures it held, learning to even communicate with some of the oceanic animals. They also had history of their own wars that submerged in the water and on top of it; these are the things that make finding the transportation, in what the Earthlings call the “The Bermuda Triangle," not much of a shock to Bruinen. They were bound to discover it; too many other planets were taking advantage of it and trying to secretly inhabitant the planet Earth, mostly to escape the triumphs on their own planets being taken over by war. It did however take a much longer time for the Earth rulers to disclose it to their civilization, than what he had anticipated. It is only a matter of time before Earthling's civilization discover Mermaids and Vampires aren’t folklore in their mythological stories. They will continuously connect the dots to where“mythological creatures” were“thought of" once they are introduced to other worlds.
“Bruinen?” the small voice tweets from behind.
Bruinen turns around and gazes down the long hall at Nawfar who stands on the other side of the conference door. “They are about ready to begin. Join us?” Bruinen nods his head in agreement and moves down the long hall toward her.
Nawfar is a petite Acquavodoian with almost pointing elf like ears and a long oval face. Her eyes are a deep blue, like most Acquavodoians, with the dark skin complexion and jet black hair, hers lined with subtle white streaks; She often wears her hair pulled off her face when she is ascended from the water with small, white water lilies, flowing down the white streak of her hair; often dressed in a tethered white corset. Today, however, her thin frame is lined in a pearlescent gown and her feet snuggle in shiny flat shoes; which shoes being foreign to the Acquavodoians, Bruinen knew the minute she was home they would no longer exist in her wardrobe.
Bruinen hugs Nawfar when he approaches and slightly whispers in her ear, “Once we do this, we are committed with the Earthlings.”
Nawfar hesitates for a moment and then nods, “It’s for the best. They are too well equipped and knowledgeable with H2_O.”
Bruinen adds, “Still much ignorance.”
“I believe they would be allies before enemies. Perhaps even assist in protection from Ddanlyr if need be. I surmise we continue as it would be.” And with that Nawfar opens the door that separates them from hundreds.
Bruinen nods and holds the door, allowing Nawfar to continue in before him. She gives a faint smile and brushes against his hand as they direct themselves to empty seats at the table.
A tall lengthy man, of dark complexion, stands to great them. He extends his hand to Bruinen first. Bruinen and Nawfar have learned from their advisors and research, that this was the way most Earthlings greet each other.
“Good to see you again, Sovereign Bruinen,” The man friendly assures him.
“President Cromwell.” Bruinen acknowledges.
Cromwell leans over and then extends his hand toward Nawfar, “Nawfar, a pleasure to see you again.”
Nawfar nods, “My hospitality.”
“Please sit” President Cromwell gestures toward the empty seats. “Now everyone is here, we may begin.”
Bruinen's eyes scan the round table at mostly foreign faces, few familiar. He is baffled by how many are unfamiliar. Of the current seventy-six, he counts, he recognizes five, six including Nawfar, of course. This number does not conclude the stadium style seating of Earthlings occupying chairs, some behind tables, across from the staged middle table that he is sitting at. The Earthlings sure don't mind intimidating the Planeteers, they are definitely outnumbered. If the Earthlings decide to plan demise against the Planeteers, they would surely be victorious.
'Are there really this abundant of other planets,' Bruinen wonders. The thought of traveling to all these planets is overwhelming. It does not include the dark planets. There are planets he would have ever imagine to travel to. What would this mean for Acquavodo? Has he made a mistake by allowing other planets to know that Acquavodo truly exist? If the planets did know their existence, they may have never had means on how to get there. Now they would know. Perhaps they are dark planets as Ddanlyr is, in presences, only seeking refuge from their own planet. Are Earthlings actually this naive or trusting?

As Cromwell begins to speak he starts off by introducing everyone. Bruinen’s eyes follow the room as Cromwell speaks, trying to remember each name and what planet each person inhabits. Many planets have a male and female representative, this narrows the presence down to about twenty planets. Most planets keep balance within the female/male energy to help enrich, protect and continue growth within the planet. Earth is not one of those. Earth alone, has many people around the table and this is not including those other unmentionables who sit away from the table as if this were a staged show.
“What is the name the Earthlings refer this building?” Bruinen tries to run through the files in his brain. He then shrugs. The name the Earthlings call this monument was not now of importance.
“Adeen. Adeus.” President Cromwell speaks as referencing the pair to Nawfar’s far right. They are from Zeebla, a planet Bruinen has visit himself.
Adeen and Adeus nod their heads as President Cromwell moves to the next Planeteer leaders for introductions.
Bruinen’s thoughts drift back to President Cromwell, whom appears relaxed and natural, as if he has known the Planeteers for all his life. Perhaps he does? Perhaps his heritage leads back to Planeteers? The Earthlings do realize their heritage isn't only Earth bound?
In research that Bruinen and Nawfar have done, they compiled list of graphic novels that were about Earthlings having powers or mutations. These characters sometimes came from other planets, yet, in reality, these gifts do in fact exist among them. This is only one example that mystifies Bruinen, Nawfar and some of the other Planeteers, that Bruinen has conversed with, before committing to join the PPT; (or Planet Portal Travel.)
Earthlings are a rare breed in that they all exist on one world, yet have many different leaders for each piece of land. Bruinen’s eyebrow burrow in his head as he tries to comprehend the perception. His eyes scan the room at the Earthlings once again. Some of the skin tones appear different shades, many appear the same. It is obvious they are all related genetically, even those that may have some Planeteer flowing through their veins. Earthlings are not compiled much different than the Planeteers. In general, we are all human or appear so other than maybe the…

Bruinen’s thoughts are interrupted as President Cromwell introduces him and Nawfar. The focus, as Cromwell speaks their names, is a tad intimidating, but Bruinen will show none of it. He gives a quick grin and nod at the others as Nawfar follows suit.
Bruinen glares around as he realizes he misses over half the names at the table. He is unconcerned as he will be able to grasp names and faces to memory with personal introductions, which would happen later.
The Earthlings organized the PPT when their Navy and Air force discovered the black hole travel in their Bermuda Triangle. It was confirmed by their astronauts finally years later. Bruinen ponders if any of the Planeteers have admitted of the other hidden black hole portals, which have been used for space travel, from other planets to Earth for centuries. Currently, he has no knowledge of the Earthlings discovering these other gateways. If they do not mention them and do not know about them, this could give another planet an upper hand if they choose to take advantage of Earthlings’ ignorance. Earthlings, knowing little about the Planeteers, and only speculating, has always given Planeteers an upper hand to the Earth dimension. No Planeteer has come to fully understand Earth’s unusual governing, and this is intimidating to other planets. A planet with multiple Queens, Kings, Presidents, Dictators, and the list goes on, makes no sense to their planets. The fact that these planets know that Earthlings fight against one another and do not hesitate to destroy each other, is terrifying; what would they would do to those that are not of their kind?
In the galaxy there are many planets that have feuded and war for a multitude, what they felt were justified reasons; but to find war on your own planet against your own kind, can put breaks in the energy and can destroy the core of your planet; Causing Eruptions and cracks in the earth. Waters could retaliate causing tsunami and hurricanes, and clouds could wind causing tornadoes. Earthlings find these things in their science, but don’t understand the imbalance in human energy that rises from the Earth. Other planets are easily labeled as dark or light. Earth is full of mixed energy and imbalanced light and dark inhibiting one planet; It's mystifying and also terrifying. It does make for good research and study for other Planeteers; but they do not know who to trust.
The PPT will allow more in depth study of the earth and the way humans work. It will also allow relationships to filter, allies from the enemies. Acquavodo’s scientist will gather much research and knowledge from the waters here. Earth also has what they call fresh waters and Acquavodo has none. They hope to benefit from Fresh Water Research, the EFWR.
Bruinen watches as the light dims and a computer power point presentation lights up, President Cromwell’s words of explanation, appear on the wall. Elaborat diagrams and pictures slide across a huge screen, the technology primitive. Bruinen glances away for a brief moment to notice everyone’s attention toward the screen. “Good” he thinks “Everyone is focused on the same thing. This is a good sign.”
The pictures are in detail, set up as an airport, a generic transportation Earthlings use to get from one land to another on their own world. Earthlings are enlisting much help from the Ceniathiancs Planet for travel through the Bermuda Triangle; some of the other Planeteers claim Earthlings have been discreetly coordinating with them for years. The Ceniathiancs are probably most different from the rest of the Planeteers. Their head appears large, their eyes slant, a hollow black against their pale thin skinned skull. They are fully dressed today, Bruinen notices, most likely part of the Earthlings culture program. They have not stayed completely hidden in their scientific explorations, even abducting Earthlings for research, claiming they had made deals with governments to do so. In return they shared their technology with Earth's rulers. The other Planeteers had always ignored both parties with the assumption they could be the demise of one another over time….
Bruinen smirks at the idea as his eyes once again scan the room to what he is missing.
'Here we all are' thinks Bruinen 'Planning a flight for their Bermuda Triangle with the Ceniathiancs and Earthlings openly working closely along one another. Perhaps peace among planets is more than possible.'
The power point presentation finishes and the room darkens, other than the floor lights and brightly lit Exit signs. Bruinen turns his attention toward President Cromwell. Cromwell opens his mouth to speak but halts mid motion as his eyes lock across the room toward the screen. Slowly as if dominoes are falling against each other, heads begin to flip back toward the screen in the half lit room. The audience begins mild chatter of confusion as the stage widens their eyes; some back away as the woman’s figure slinks toward the table, a Rottweiler with red beady eyes stands still behind her.
“My invitation was lost in the mail.” She flatly announces as her sharp white fangs hit a reflection of the exit sign.
A couple Planeteers glance toward Cromwell in a search for answers and instructions. None of them have most likely met her in person, for they are still alive; this did not stop anyone at the table from knowing who she is and it even appears that Cromwell and some of the others, Earth World Leaders, had done their research quite clearly; Perhaps the Ceniathiancs have clued them in.
“My planet appears…” she pauses for a moment, her amber eyes glaring across the room at President Cromwell, “Your presentation of the planets, Mr. Cromwell, has it been shown?”
President Cromwell clears his throat and manages, “No. It hasn’t. And how do you know about it…?”
“Foreshadowed, Mr. Cromwell. Would you mind? Leeke, scooch out of the way.” She motions sending the dog gently airborne to the side of the screen.
The room is silent. Very silent. An individual begins to stand from the audience as if they could sneak away from the tension. The woman waves her hand without a thought, her pale face turns to the table, and mystically lowers the person back to their seat. Bruinen shifts his eyes on the others who appear stunned.
“This will only take a moment.” The woman adds as the astonished soul is motionless in his chair.
President Cromwell’s throat appears huge as he flips the power point on and scrolls through the computer. He stops at the Bermuda’s galaxy planetarium system- five different galaxies leading to one portal into another world.
“Ah, yes there it is.” She gratifies. Her eyes shift to the table, “I was almost afraid you had forgotten, Mr. Cromwell.”
Bruinen stares at the reality of the multiple galaxies; it is one thing to know such a gateway exist, but it is mind boggling to see it comprehended to a picture. He watches as the vampire queen, Sultana, slinks towards the table, a chair slides across the floor and positions itself under her voluptuous behind. She snaps her fingers and Leeke follows behind her and plops down at her feet. “Good, boy.” She mumbles resting into the chair.
“We are going to discuss Divobite`, Queen Sultana, it has not been overlooked.” President Cromwell tries to announce without vibration in his voice.
Bruinen feels Nawfar clench to his knee from under the table. Bruinen glares over at her and she raises an eyebrow of concern. He gives her a faint grin, grasping his lips between his teeth, gazing at the others in the room, a brief second, he appears back to her with a slight eyebrow raise and smirk. Nawfar grabs her attention to the floor quickly to not laugh, she immediately grasp humor Bruinen is sending to her. With vampires love of Vitamin D in the blood, they'd be least appetizing, being in water all the time. She pulls her tiny hands into fist and perches them in front of her pink lips as she smirks at Bruinen from underneath them. This catches the vampire’s attention for a moment causing Nawfar to quickly straighten up, as if reprimanded by a school teacher.
“For those of you unfamiliar, this is Queen Sultana, of Divobite`,” President Cromwell announces to the room, with a deep breath, as he feels the gazes piercing into his skin. “She wishes to discuss the laws of the vampire world.”
Bruinen scans the room as a few gasp from the audience slips from their tongues; the Earthlings fantasy world just came alive, in those few seconds.
